Conference Registration:

Pre-registration for the conference is now closed. However, the conference will remain open to additional attendees via on-site registration.

To register, please come to the conference site during the daily registration hours as listed in the detailed program. You can register for the entire conference or an individual track as outlined in the table below. Payment can be made via credit card, check, or money order. Purchase orders and cash are not accepted.

NOTE: All registration fees are in U.S. dollars.

DSN Conference Registration in all member categories, including student registration, includes attendance at all DCCS and PDS sessions and all Workshops, Monday welcome reception, breaks, lunches, excursion and banquet, and proceedings on USB.

Single Day Workshop Registration includes all workshops, breaks, lunch on the day of the workshops, Monday welcome reception, and the workshop proceedings. Registration for "DSN Conference" includes all workshops.

Tutorial Registration includes the chosen tutorial(s), breaks during chosen tutorial(s), and printed handout for your tutorial(s). Registration for "DSN Conference" does not include tutorials.

Students are required to provide proof of full-time student status at the time of registration.

Cancellations are subject to a $100 processing fee and must be received by May 28, 2010. There will be no refunds after May 28, 2010.

DSN 2010 Banquet and Excursion

The DSN 2010 banquet will be held on Wednesday evening, June 30, 2010 at Chicago's world famous Art Institute a short walk through the park from the Fairmont. We'll have one hour to view the European Modern art gallery followed by cocktails, and dinner. After dinner you'll be able to mingle over drinks and view Navy Pier fireworks from the Bluhm Family Terrace and the Nichols Bridgeway. Hotel Registration:

DSN 2010 will be held on June 27 through July 1, 2010 at the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park. Rooms at the Fairmont will be available at the conference rate of $179 per night (plus taxes), single or double occupancy from June 24, 2010 to July 6, 2010 in case you would like to extend your stay in the Windy City.

Our negotiated block rate of $179 for rooms has expired. Rooms may still be available. Chicago is a popular vacation and business destination during the summer. We encourage you to reserve your hotel accommodation as soon as possible.

Internet Access

We will be providing wireless Internet in or near the conference rooms. If you are a member of the Fairmont's President's Club you can take advantage of free wireless Internet in your hotel room and in the lobby. There is no charge for membership. You can join by going to http://www.fairmont.com/fpc/.


The Fairmont is easily accessible from either O'Hare (about 40 minutes) or Midway (about 30 minutes) airports via Chicago's rapid transit system for $2.25. A short walk is required. Alternatively a shared shuttle bus door-to-door from O'Hare is about $25 (about $19 from Midway.) A taxi from O'Hare should be about $50 and from Midway about $30 (more in heavy traffic). Parking in downtown Chicago is expensive, at least $35 per day. We discourage you from renting a car while attending DSN.

If you need a visa letter, please send a visa request form to the Local Arrangements Chair (download: MS word, pdf) as instructed on the form. If you don't get an e-mail acknowledgement within 48 hours, please contact: visa@dsn.org. Visa letters will be issued in accordance with IEEE policy:


Visa letter requests may take up to one week to process. If you are not speaking, presenting, or serving on a conference committee, IEEE policy requires your credit card payment for registration to have cleared before we can issue a visa letter.
